Hi,
I have booked the round trip flight ticket to our mother on *th May **** using Chase credit card on MakeMyTrip.com. I closed the credit card account on the month of June.
Time line details of the events:
Ticket booked : *th May ****
Chase bank Credit card Account closed : June ****
Ticket Canceled : **th Sep ****
Refund processed by MakeMy Trip : **th Sep ****
Refund Returned by Chase bank to MMT : *rd Oct ****
From the month of Oct to till now, I have opened ** tickets, sent more than *** messages, *** emails, spoke to ** agents.
There is no proper resolution yet. They asked for Bank Closure letter and Letter of Authorization. I gave all the documents requested.
I asked them to refund the money to my alternate account. I even reached out to Sanjay Mohan, CTO and Anmol Arora, International Flight Travels Head through Linkedin.
At last I got an email from Ritu Sharma, PS to Sanjay Mohan. She said they are verifying the transaction with their bank (HDFC) payment gateway.
Its been close to * months, they haven't refunded the money yet. Last communication from Make My Trip is that they have not received the returned the money from Chase.
But MakeMyTrip have to ask HDFC to audit its bank account for a deposit matching the refund returned by Chase Bank. Chase Credit Card Member services confirmed me more than * times that they have returned the refund money to MakeMyTrip.
