I ordered a specific blue sofa from Pepperfry after visiting their store at AIPL Joy Street Mall, Gurgaon, where I saw and felt the fabric. However, upon delivery, I received a sofa in a completely different shade of blue. I raised a complaint, and a carpenter visited my home to inspect the product. He confirmed the color mismatch, which was also noted in his report. Despite this, Pepperfry’s customer service initially acknowledged the issue but later claimed that the difference in color was due to ‘lighting’ and ‘fading,’ which was unacceptable.
The carpenter’s report and his firsthand confirmation of the mismatch should have been sufficient to resolve the issue, yet Pepperfry chose to dismiss this evidence in favor of unsubstantiated claims. I had to wait for * days for the carpenter visit, ** days for an initial resolution, and another * days after escalating the matter on social media without receiving a satisfactory solution. This delay and the ongoing refusal to take responsibility have been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
I am now demanding an immediate replacement of the exact same sofa I originally ordered. If the issue is not resolved swiftly, I will pursue legal action through consumer forums and the consumer court.
