- Full Refunded Needed From Goibibo ^Open

My flight of "Akasa Air" from Mumbai to Bangalore scheduled for *th January **** was cancelled by "Akasa Air" themselves which was informed to me via email on *nd January **** (not * weeks prior to the flight date).

So, in order to get the full amount as refund as well as the additional flight cancellation compensation which should be provided from the airlines (as per the rules), "Akasa Air" team requested me to contact "goibibo" as I had booked my flight tickets using that application.

So, I cancelled my flight from Goibibo in order to get my full refund and gave the reason for cancellation as "flight not operational". All I received as a refund was around Rs.*** and flight ticket cost that I had paid was around Rs.****.


This caused a lot of mental pressure because of multiple reasons:

*) I had left my job at Accenture (Bangalore) to join a new company (Telstra, which is also at Bangalore) and the joining date given to me was January *th ****.

*) I had to book a new connection flight ticket (Mumbai to Hyderabad, *:** hrs layover, Hyderabad to Bangalore) within a short period of time after this flight of "Akasa Air" from Mumbai to Bangalore, which was scheduled to reach Bangalore by January *th **** was cancelled.

*) I had to make sure that I would show up at the new company on January *th **** in order to join there. If I wouldn't have showed up at the company on the joining date, there was a high risk of losing my job offer and then becoming jobless.

*) The connection flight that I booked to reach Bangalore was during midnight time starting at around **:** AM (Jan *th) from Mumbai and reaching Bangalore by almost *:** AM (Jan *th). So my sleep schedule was messed up just the day before joining a new company and I had to adjust my sleep schedule very badly in order to join the new company on Jan *th.

*) Being from an economically poor background, (and not being able to ask money from parents (both are not working)) and living in Bangalore with a very low salary, booking a new flight in the last moments of my Mumbai Trip was a huge concern for me as my bank balance was not great, but I had to make sure that I book a new flight anyways as soon as possible and be back at Bangalore before the time of joining the new company.

*) All of a sudden unexpectedly, my long awaited dream solo trip to Mumbai from Bangalore was filled with full of uncertainty and tension just because of this "Akasa Air" flight getting cancelled.
