I am writing to lodge a complaint against Rapido, a ride-hailing service provider, for unfair and excessive charging, as well as unprofessional behavior by their customer support team.
On */*/****, I booked a ride with Rapido, and the estimated fare displayed was ₹**. However, to get fast ride I increased price by ₹**, making the revised estimated fare ₹**. Shockingly, when the ride ended, I was charged ₹**, which is ₹** more than the revised estimated fare.
I have attached a screenshot of the ride details, which clearly shows the estimated fare, the revised estimated fare, and the actual amount charged. This is not an isolated incident,
as I have experienced similar discrepancies in the past. However, this time, I have documented evidence to support my claim.
When I reached out to Rapido's customer support team to report the issue, I was met with unprofessional behavior. Despite explaining the situation and providing evidence, the support agent was unhelpful and dismissive. They failed to provide a satisfactory explanation or resolution and instead abruptly ended the conversation, leaving me without any assistance.
I request your office to take immediate action against Rapido for their unfair and excessive charging practices, as well as their unprofessional customer support. I demand a refund of the excess amount charged (₹**) and seek compensation for the mental agony and distress caused by their actions.
I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter urgently and take necessary steps to ensure that Rapido adheres to fair and transparent pricing practices, as well as provides professional and helpful customer support.
