I had been on a family trip to Bhutan from **th to **st Mar**. When I entered Bhutan on **th Mar**, I had deactivated my airtel sim and instead got a Bhutan local sim card for the trip.
During return on **st Mar** when I reached the Indian border (Jaigaon) in the afternoon, I enabled my Airtel sim. I saw that the network was activated immediately and I started using my data connection. I also received a call on my mobile. Now when the bill is generated, I find that I have been charged Rs ***/- for international roaming charges. I am absolutely sure that I started my airtel sim on reaching the border and I did it at the same time when other members of the touring party enabled the same. I also did not receive any notifications informing me that I was on an international network.
