I am Shri Biranchi Narayan Das Resident of Vill- Kurang Pradhan, Dist- Cuttack, Odisha, PIN- ****** having a domestic electricity connection having consumer No ********. I am a sincere consumer that can be checked from my track record. Before initiation of the bill after Funny cyclone, in Dec ****, l started making payment as an advance so as to get respite from the huge amount being accumulated since the last *-** months. However, I received a bill of rupees a little more than seven thousand. On my request to a collection agent, It is been agreed upon to clear the amount on a maximum of four instalments. I used to pay the max amount as much as possible so as to clear the arrears sooner than the target. In current months bill ie, Mar ****, I received a bill in which a sum of Rs **.** has been imposed as penalty being defaulter.
My submission:
*. Accumulation of bill is not my fault.
*. Since **** can be checked from track records that I have never been a defaulter and some times paid more amount than the monthly bill which was adjusted in the next month.
*. When a bill is accumulated to a bigger amount beyond the fault of consumer, *-* instalment may not be a crime. While requesting for the instalment, I also contacted the Adaspur office to avoid further litigation. But to my surprise, the same has arisen.
My prayer :
*. A penalty of Rs **.** be waived off.
*. Respite to my mental agony, as permitted by the law may be granted.
