Note: I have all the conversation details with me (both via telephonic and email)
Issue: Few days back, I wanted to reschedule my airindia ticket (E-ticket Number: *************) which I had booked via Ease My Trip during lockdown time (Booking id: EMT******** / PNR: YCT**). But while conversation with Airindia, I came to know that Easemytrip initiated the refund from Airindia on my behalf without my knowledge. Also, they were holding my money from *th Jan,****. And when I ask for rescheduling, easemytrip denied that it can't be rescheduled and I have to apply for a refund only. I asked them clearly that I want a full refund only in my bank account from which the transaction was done. I asked him to initiate the refund from their end but he said it is only possible if you apply for the refund. So, I have initiated the refund and but I got the partial amount after deduction of cancellation fee. This is against ethical values. I don't want to cancel the ticket, but they theself cancel it and now deducting the cancellation fee. On the contarary, I ahave booked another Airindia ticket with some other travel agency and I am able to reschdule it with the same previous fare ticket (Though the fare amount is increased * times now). So, its very bad of Easemy trip that they themself apply for the cancellation and hold the customers amount unless they ask for them, Even thereafter, they are charging the cancellation fee.
