- Items broken during transport ^Closed

Booked Porter service for my house shifting on May **th (intercity) however when the goods were delivered * items were broken. Wooden single seater sofa and Sewing Iron machine. These were part of the items to be transported and can be found on the invoices list. The porter used highly inexperienced packers and movers who while transporting have kept heavy objects on these two items leading them to be broken and unusable. I contacted Porter helpline immediately and followed their process of filing claim. However they have stated that i should have taken insurance policy and without that they will not be able to do anything for the damaged items. So items without insurance can be broken by Porter? Is Porter forcing customers to buy insurance. In their ad they state ***% they will deliver without any damage. They are advertising misleading ads and they never state that one should take policy. Despite paying additional charges (Rs.****) as tips me and my family have to bear the consequences of broken items. Single seater is wooden and Sewing machine is iron not sure what was kept or which angle they kept for them to break. Please provide me justice and kindly obtain the appropriate compensation. I have attached pictures of my broken wooden single seater sofa, Sewing machine and their advertisement pop up.
