I would like to bring to your notice that recently we had given request to Zurich kotak general insurance for reimbursement of maternity claim of INR **,***.
My wife has insurance coverage with Zurich kotak and it’s a corporate policy.
On *th of Dec ‘**** we were blessed with baby boy, Total hospital bill was around *,**,*** out of which **,*** was cashless covered by my corporate insurance policy ( Ankit Midha ) residual amount was paid by us.
For the residual amount which was paid by us we had requested Zurick kotak for reimbursement under their maternity claim limit of INR **,*** though they had settled only INR **,*** and rejected the residual amount in deduction and baby bill amount was of INR **,***.
While checking the policy documents we found that baby is covered under maternity limit of INR **,*** and same has been confirmed by insurer as well. Insurer had requested us to get the baby endorsed and upon giving endorsement request we were being told that it’s employee only policy and dependent cannot be added but Same is contradictory to insurance policy ( attaching screenshot of the clause )
After multiple discussion and escalation to senior management also we have not received any satisfactory response.
So I am writing this mail to seek support and requesting your intervention in the said case.
We are contesting the Baby bill of INR **,***, which has been rejected and according to the policy baby is covered from *st day under the maternity claim limit.
