Airlines have got into malpractice of rescheduling tickets as per their convenience.
I had booked tickets for spice jet for **th Jun , *.** AM.
The main reason for selecting the flight was
- Daughters *st day in school - drop and pick
- Office work
However the flight was rescheduled to **.** PM landing at **.**
I called the airline and they offered alternative of Full refund of the booking amount. However if I have to book tickets in alternative airlines for approx same time, I need to pay more than * times the amount. Need clarification why customer needs to bare this cost due to airlines operation issues.
Moreover the night flight is still available on sale on Spice Jet airlines website, while existing customers are being transferred to alternative flight (attached screenshot). This is deliberate effort to misguide customers.
Also for a customer to reschedule flight , we need to pay Rs ****+ charges to airlines , as a fair practice would expect customer to be appropriately compensated.
This re-schedule has caused following loss
- * day leave
- Missing daughters *st day school
- Extension of stay (* day)
- Additional travel arrangements cost , as we had a grp booking
Could you please ensure , Airline is penalised and customer is appropriately compensated
