- Defected Double Door Refregator received Open

We purchase a double door auto convertible Refrigerator from Croma Acropolis, kolkata on **/**/** and within a week's use Refregator stopped working. On complaint, we get to know that the compressor of the fridge is damaged. Now this is *th day , we lodge the complaint to replace the fridge but we have not received any resolution from any of the parties. Customer care replied that this is not within their responsibilities. I would like to know how a renowned Company like LG , denied their responsibilities of their product within a week after purchase. I am getting a vibes that I have purchased this Refregator from local second hand electronic goods seller. I have had earlier experience with samsung, when their technician found that they had delivered a defected item just replaced the Refregator within two days of time.
