This is in regards to a pathetic experience that I’ve had while servicing my KTM bike. Hence I’ve decided to escalate the situation:
I visited the nearby center in Kolkata to service my bike on **-**-****. As usual I was given a worksheet along with an estimated cost of Rs. *,*** and eventually after all the check ups and and 'complete service’ (*i.e. as they’ve said) I had to pay Rs. *,***.**. The service executive assured me saying my bike is completely ok now but he didn’t do any cleaning of my bike and didn’t even provide the bill, instead he asked me to come back again for the remaining cleaning and to get the bill. However, from *th of September **** the very next the from the date of servicing I’ve noticed the below problems:
*. Bike’s battery is giving trouble
*. Bike is not starting/ The self- start is not working,
*. The Odometer is showing * while the bike is running
It’s my work vehicle as I use this bike to visit several of my client’s places for work and on a couple of occasions my bike turned itself off and I had to get off my bike and asked someone on the road to push it a bit in order to restart.
Hence, due to this situation I’ve visited the service center again to tell them the issue, however surprisingly they have asked me for extra money to service/ change parts. I don't know what else to do. They were rude and didn’t seem to help me at all, all they wanted was money. First they failed to do the complete/ proper service of my bike and secondly, instead of apologising, they asked for extra money.
