Complaint Description:
I am writing to file a formal complaint against Yolo Bus for deficiency in service, unfair trade practices, and mental harassment.
I had booked a bus ticket through the Yolo Bus app. Due to the extremely poor and misleading UI of the application, I mistakenly selected an incorrect destination while booking.
During the journey, in the middle of the night, the bus assistant woke me up and informed me that my stop was approaching. I immediately explained the situation to both the assistant and the driver and requested to continue to my intended destination.
However, the driver refused to cooperate and forced me to pay an additional ₹*** to continue the journey. I was left with no option but to pay the amount under pressure, as it was late at night and I was in an unsafe situation. No receipt was provided for this payment, which indicates an unauthorized and illegal collection.
Following this incident, I raised multiple complaints with Yolo Bus customer care. After repeated follow-ups, I was informed that a refund had been processed. However, despite these assurances, I have not received any refund to date.
I have also lodged a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline, but even after multiple escalations and emails, there has been no response or resolution from Yolo Bus.
This clearly shows negligence, lack of accountability, and harassment of a customer.
