In December ****, several of my family members participated in the OnePlus Run *.* contest. We played fairly and legitimately won high value prizes, specifically smartphones and tablets. In January ****, OnePlus officially verified all of our profiles as winners.
However, after making us wait for over five months, OnePlus is now refusing to deliver our prizes. They are suddenly claiming we are "duplicate accounts" and used a "loophole." This is completely false. These were old, established user accounts that miraculously became "duplicates" only when it was time to dispatch the prizes. Multiple family members participating is not against the rules.
What makes us feel incredibly victimized is how shady, secretive, and manipulative their process has been. We honestly and transparently disclosed our family accounts to them before the ban. Instead of appreciating this, they maliciously turned our honesty against us. To make matters worse, they intentionally deleted our side of the communication and our proper disclosures from the private chats just to frame us as criminals of some sort and avoid giving the prizes.
They handled everything privately in direct chats and quietly banned multiple other community members who were facing this exact same issue. If any unfair means were truly used, why did OnePlus fail to acknowledge it publicly? Why not announce their actions and the disqualifications in an official public post in the community? Instead, they hid behind private chats and manipulated the chat history to silence us.
This entire ordeal has caused our family immense mental harassment and stress. We trusted the brand, invested years of our time into the community, and are now being treated like fraudsters simply because OnePlus wants to avoid honoring their financial commitments for these high value items.
We are feeling totally cheated by their lack of transparency, deleted messages, and shifting excuses. We just want OnePlus to honor their January verifications and immediately dispatch the prizes we rightfully won.
