I placed Order #******** on ** May **** for two t-shirts (Size L) totaling ₹*,***.** on the Bombay Trooper website. The website clearly stated a "**-days no questions asked returns" policy at checkout.
Upon delivery, the t-shirts were too tight. When I attempted to return them, the company denied my request, claiming returns were not accepted on "sales orders" – a condition never disclosed at the time of purchase. This is an unfair trade practice.
Nevertheless, I acted in good faith and accepted their alternative proposal for me to send the products back to their address for an exchange. On * June ****, I dispatched the package via Rapido Courier to the address they provided:

The courier driver reached the address but found it completely locked and unattended. Neighbours confirmed that nobody is ever present at that address. After waiting over ** minutes and attempting to contact the company unsuccessfully, the driver left the package in the window grill. I have photographic evidence of this.
I incurred the following verified expenses:
- Original order value: ₹*,***.**
- Courier fare (Rapido): ₹***.**
- Additional waiting charges paid to driver: ₹**.**
- Total: ₹*,***.**
Since then, I have made repeated attempts to contact Bombay Trooper via email, WhatsApp, and telephone calls. They have not responded to a single communication. I have sent multiple emails, including a formal notice on ** June ****, giving them ** hours to respond. They have completely ignored me.
A public search reveals I am not an isolated case. Multiple other customers have reported identical issues with Bombay Trooper regarding false return policies, unresponsive customer service, and locked return addresses. This establishes a clear pattern of unfair trade practices under the Consumer Protection Act, ****.
I have remained a loyal customer despite previous issues with this company. I even placed additional orders with them in good faith while this matter remained unresolved. Their conduct has exhausted my patience.
I am seeking a full refund of ₹*,***.** (Rupees One Thousand Six Hundred and Sixty Three Only), comprising the order value, courier fare, and additional waiting charges. I also request compensation for the mental agony and harassment caused by their complete non-response and negligence.
I have attached all relevant evidence, including:
- Order confirmation screenshot
- Payment receipt
- Rapido ride summary
- UPI payment screenshots (₹*** and ₹**)
- Delivery photograph showing package left in window grill
- Complete email correspondence showing my attempts to resolve this matter
I request Voxya to intervene and help me get a resolution to this matter. If the company continues to ignore this complaint, I am prepared to escalate to the National Consumer Helpline, Consumer Guidance Society of India (CGSI), and file a formal case before the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Mumbai.
